Art Demos Throughout the Weekend: Saturday,
May 3 & Sunday, May 4!
- Gallery N artists including painter Mark Nikoff will be painting inspired works
of art at North Blvd. at Lafayette Street.
- Baton Rouge Gallery Artists, painters Charles Barbier and Hunter Roth will
complete their signature mural right outside the Shaw Center lobby.
- Printmaker Candice Alexander, a FestForAll 2008 juried artist who was invited
to create the FestForAll 2008 poster and T-shirt design, will be demonstrating
printmaking techniques on Lafayette Street.

- Throughout the Weekend: Russell Donnellon is a classical guitarist incorporating
the harmonic and improvisational impulse of jazz.
- Throughout the Weekend: Runa Pacha Wind Rhythms - Native American Music.
- Sunday, May 4 at 1 p.m.: Talented String students from Southeast Middle School
and Sherwood Academic Magnet School.
- Sunday, Mat 4 at 3 p.m.: The Sax Project featuring saxophone players: Cheryl
Marchand, Robyn Sharp, Emilie Smart, and Michael Weeks.
PLUS:
- Throughout the Weekend - Mime artist of 25 years, Harold Short,
of New Orleans. And: City Year's Face Painting Booth!
- The Art Car Parade, a Culture Candy Project, will take place on
Saturday, May 3 in conjunction with FestForAll. The Art Car Parade will feature
over 40 cars that have been converted into works of art on wheels. The parade
rolls down 4th Street starting at the State Capitol at noon. Look for the Art
Cars around the FestForAll site Saturday afternoon!
- The WordPlay All City Teen Slam Festival, coordinated by Big Buddy, will be
taking place at the Manship Theatre the evening of Saturday, May 3. Hear a preview
at FestForAll, Saturday, May 3 from 3:30 – 6 p.m.!
