The Art Council's Community Gallery, located on the 2nd floor at 427 Laurel Street in downtown Baton Rouge, will present Passport to Italy featuring artwork inspired by Italy.

Photographers, painters and jewelers obsessed with Italy's charm and beauty share the bounty and gifts from their experiences with Bella Italia.

The exhibition will run from August 14th-September 25th. There will be a reception on Friday, September 11, 2009 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Community Gallery. At the reception, enjoy homemade breads and other Italian specialties provided by Nino's Italian restaurant.

 

Participating artists include Kathy Bensabat, Beverly Coates, Madeline Ellis, Christy Diniz-Liffmann, Thomas Neff, Steve Schmidt, Katherine Scherer and Laura Teague.
