FestForAll’s 30th Anniversary Poster Design
Deadline: February 1, 2007
The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge invites visual artists to submit an original commemorative poster design for the 30th anniversary of FestForAll, May 5 – 6, 2007! The winner of this FestForAll Design Award will receive a $450 honorarium. Visual artists are asked to submit JPEG or TIF image(s) of a poster design on CD by February 1, 2007. Original Digital Images Wanted for Art Walk Project
Deadline: Friday, December 22, 2006 at 5:30 pm.
The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities is seeking 12 artists to take
part in a thought provoking large-scale outdoor exhibit entitled DRIFT, for
the next phase of the Art Walk Project. The Art Walk is located along 10th
Street, NW between New York Avenue and H Street at the former site of the
Old Convention Center which is now a parking facility. Artists are asked to
submit original digital images based on the theme DRIFT to be considered for
reproduction on 7 ft. by 24 ft. banners.

Broward County Cultural Division Public Art & Design Program
Deadline: December 8, 2006
Call to Artists: The Broward County Cultural Division Public Art & Design Program is seeking to commission an artist to create an integrated large-scale artwork or a number of smaller artworks that relate to each other using sculpture, landscape, light, or multimedia as medium of choice. The artwork(s) will be integrated into the design of the main entrance and exit roadways of the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport. This is a high visibility project where the artwork will become the gateway to the airport for visitors arriving and departing via ground transportation. The site will be the link between the airport and the surrounding landscape of South Florida, as well as the future Intermodal center that would become the transportation hub linking the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport to Port Everglades. The total budget for the project is not to exceed $1,050,000. Art in Public Places Austin, TX
Deadline: December 8, 2006
The City of Austin’s Art in Public Places (AIPP) Program is requesting qualifications of visual artists for the Legends of Tejano Trail public art project. Artists may view the submission requirements and project details in the Request for Qualifications packet on the AIPP website. Budget is $125,000. The project is open to professional visual artists or artist teams age 18 and over, residing within 50 miles of the City of Austin.

University of Louisiana at Monroe, (ULM) School of Visual and Performing Arts
Deadline: January 2007 or until filled.
Call for entries to display outdoor sculpture. All Work will be on display for one year beginning in March/April 2007. A honorarium of up to $750 is available for qualified artists. Seven works will be chosen for exhibition. Safety of the audience is a prime consideration. Six cement pedestals of various dimensions are available to artist for securing work. One space is available on the lawn but this work must be secured through anchoring devices. Sculpture should be able to withstand a high traffic area and adverse weather conditions. Interested artists should submit slides, photographs, or digital images along with a resume and proposal. Include SASE for return of material. Call to artists for a MailArt postcard size show in Louisville, Kentucky that will be displayed next March 2007 at the Days Espresso and Coffee House and Friday, April 6th, 2007 at the Expressions Gallery in downtown Louisville, Kentucky.

Send in an original postcard sized (4"x6" or smaller) piece of artwork to be donated to the show. 100% of sales will go toward the Wayside Christian Mission in Louisville, Kentucky. It is a local charity that is a homeless shelter and addiction recovery center. There is no limit to the number of entries of original art submitted as long as there is no hatred towards others or erotica implied or displayed. Postmark deadline of December 31, 2006.
