Never utter the words "I can't draw" again! Explore fundamental drawing and sketching techniques during this 4 week course. Each session will build upon the other and utilize a variety of materials. You will leave inspired and equipped to create your own work of art.

Instructor information:

Michelle Elder received a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art and Anthropology from the University of South Carolina in her hometown of Columbia, SC. She has worked as an illustrator for many years, first as an artifact illustrator for the South Carolina State Office of Archaeology, and as an Assistant to the Curator of the South Carolina State Museum, where she received an award for her contributions to the organization and preservation of the Museum’s WWII Exhibit. As a commercial illustrator, her clients have included National Geographic, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival And Louisiana State University’s Veterinary School, as well as with various publishers and advertising agencies both in Louisiana and along the East Coast. She accepts commissions and continues to draw vintage-inspired portraits and landmarks with her unique brand of detailed colored pencil and mixed media illustrations.
