Jump head first into the enchanting and dynamic world of musical theatre with this 4 week course that focuses on the most significant, influential and genre-defining shows, composers, and lyricists that made this art form what it is today. And yes, there’ll be singing!


Instructor information:

Kay White holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Kentucky. She was an instructor of music at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith prior to moving to Baton Rouge. A mezzo-soprano, Kay has performed leading roles with Cincinnati Opera, Central City Opera, Kentucky Opera Theatre, and Texas Opera Theatre. Kay has also sung as a soloist in performance in Europe and China. Recent engagements include performances at the Marigny Opera House, with the Symphony Chorus of New Orleans, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and numbers concerts throughout Louisiana with B.R.E.V.E (Baton Rouge Early Vocal Ensemble).
