"Write the story that you were always afraid to tell. I swear to you that there is magic in it."
--Dorothy Allison

The best writing is that which is devoid of self-consciousness and owns its point of view. But for the writer, getting to that place–-a place free of self-criticism and judgement so that truth can come through–-can be tough. That’s a Great Story…Now Tell Me the Truth grew out of Robin Palmer Blanche's desire to help writers move past fear in order to get to a deeper place in their writing so that it resonates with others.

During this 3-hour workship, exercises are used to examine what might be holding you back from writing before you are given tools to blast through that fear, unwillingness and self-criticism. After that, you will start to go deeper into your writing using a variety of techniques that are designed to move you out of your comfort zone and bring a level of honest and authenticity to your work.

Writers of all levels - including those who have never written before - are welcome.
