Decentralized Arts Funding (DAF)
The Decentralized Arts Funding Program (DAF) is administered jointly by the Louisiana Division of the Arts (LDOA) and the regional DAF Administrators. Initiated in 1995, this program provides a system for funding arts organizations and projects in all regions of the state by giving artists, nonprofit arts organizations, nonprofit organizations, public and private schools, and local government agencies in each parish the opportunity to develop and support arts programs that meet their local needs. The purpose of the program is to make the arts accessible to everyone throughout the state.
Decentralized Arts Funding (DAF) Grants are available to organizations in the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge’s 11-parish service region: Ascension, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, St. Helena, Tangipahoa, Washington, West Baton Rouge, and West Feliciana. DAF grants are supported by the Louisiana Division of the Arts, Office of Cultural Development, Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism.
The deadline for FY2020 DAF Grant Applications will be July 12, 2019 at 5pm. Applications will be open as of May 1, 2019. A grant workshop will be held June 5, 12pm.
All grant applications must be submitted online via the MGO online application system
Applicants must create a MyGovernmentOnline customer portal account in order to access the grant application. West Baton Rouge: $1,423
West Feliciana: $1,200
NOTE: DAF Guidelines are posted prior to the Legislative Session; the parish allocations below are based upon FY19 numbers and are likely to change based upon the Legislature’s FY19 budget recommendations. Any change will be taken into account during the Panel deliberations; applicants will not need to submit new forms
