Decentralized Arts Funding

Decentralized Arts Funding (DAF) Grants are available to organizations in the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge’s 11-parish service region. 

On behalf of the Louisiana Division of the Arts, the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge administers this grant for the following parishes: Ascension, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, St. Helena, Tangipahoa, Washington, West Baton Rouge, and West Feliciana.

Applicants may submit a grant proposal in one of two categories – organizational support, which funds general operating expenses of arts organizations, or project assistance, which supports the artistic costs of any non-profit presenting arts programming.

Local Multicultural Grants

Local Multicultural Grants

The Multicultural Grant program provides support to organizations that celebrate the cultural diversity of Baton Rouge through artistic expression. The Multicultural Grant is funded by the East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor-President and Metro Council and administered by Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge. The Arts Council will host a PAG and Multicultural Grant Workshop on January 5, 2018 at 2pm at the Arts Council offices at 427 Laurel Street. Please review 2018 Multicultural Grant Guidelines as they have changed this year.

Local Project Assistance Grants

The Local Project Assistance Grant (PAG) supports arts programming that enhances the creative capacity and vibrancy of East Baton Rouge Parish. PAG is funded by the East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor-President and Metro Council and administered by Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge. The Arts Council will host a PAG and Multicultural Grant Workshop on January 5, 2018 at 2pm at the Arts Council offices at 427 Laurel Street. Charles Lamar Family Foundation Subsidy Grant

Charles Lamar Family Foundation Subsidy Grant

The Charles Lamar Family Foundation Shaw Center Subsidy Grant provides funding assistance for organizations domiciled in EBR Parish with 501(c)(3) nonprofit status (colleges/universities, and public/private schools are eligible to apply) to rent Shaw Center spaces, including the Manship Theatre, Hartley/Vey Theatres, River Terrace, and Manship Gallery. This grant is generously funded by the Charles Lamar Family Foundation. The rental must be for an artistic or cultural activity the general public may attend.

Applications will be accepted throughout the year, with a deadline of at least 2 months in advance of the proposed event(s). Once funds in the grant pool are expended, applications can no longer be accepted. Allowable requests are half the official rental estimate for a program or event in the venue, up to a maximum of $3,500.
