PAST SUMMITS: 2018 Louisiana Arts Summit
"On behalf of the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge, I would like to thank everyone involved in making Arts Summit 2018 a huge success. This gathering brought individual artists, arts organizations, educators, government officials, and business professionals to have meaningful conversations about strengthening Louisiana communities through the arts. We are grateful to our Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome and to the First Lady of Louisiana, Donna Edwards, for their vision in calling for an arts summit on the State and City-Parish level. From nationally renown keynote speaker Victor Goines and the many professional speakers, the professional facilitation by Emergent Method, Louisiana Division of the Arts and the Regional Arts Councils, to the beautiful performance by Basin Dance Collective, we are inspired to carry the great ideas and information forward into the next year. Look for continued professional development events, webinars, and other resources as we collectively improve our respective communities through the arts."
