Professional Development for Teachers
Professional development offerings are designed to provide classroom teachers, arts teachers, and teaching artists with professional learning opportunities that enhance their understanding of the Arts and provide effective techniques to utilize in a classroom setting. Whether it be Arts Integration or content specific Arts Education, teachers will leave the professional development sessions able to plan, develop, and implement the Arts into their teaching practice.
SAVE THE DATE - OCTOBER 11, 2019
The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge in partnership with the East Baton Rouge Parish School System will present its Fall Professional Development workshops for Arts teachers. Teachers within the Arts Council’s 11 parish region are invited to attend, free of charge. Workshops will take place at the LSU Museum of Art and McKinley Middle Academic Magnet School for Visual and Performing Arts. Offerings are available for the following disciplines across all grade levels: acting, dance, graphic and media arts, instrumental and vocal music, visual art. Check back on Monday, September 23rd for session descriptions, presenter bios, and registration information.
In conjunction with the Kennedy Center Partners in Education Program, The Arts Council and the East Baton Rouge Parish School System collaborate to provide professional learning opportunities for academic teachers and arts teachers alike.
