Arts For EveryBody

What is Arts for EveryBody?

The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge, Inc. in partnership with the City of Baton Rouge (BRAHL and CITY) and in collaboration with One Nation/One Project and National League of Cities, will participate in artmaking and health initiatives under the theme “There’s No Place Like Home.”  Artists of all genres will engage with community members in artmaking consistent with that theme, culminating in a simultaneous presentation and performance on July 27, 2024.  This timeline of activities aligns with the national campaign and would provide Baton Rouge with national media recognition as being part of this positive and meaningful movement for arts, a part of healthy living.

One Nation/One Project is a national arts and health initiative designed to activate the power of the arts to repair the social fabric of our nation and heal our communities. ONOP brings together Artists, Local Governments, and Community Health Providers to foster equitable recovery and improved health in communities across America.  One Nation/One Project’s Arts For EveryBody campaign seeks to prove how the arts can lead to healthier people and healthier communities backed by research and data. If funded, Baton Rouge would be the sole Louisiana city participating in this initiative.
