SLOW - LSU School of Art Summer Contemporary

Embracing “slow” in all registers, we invite artists whose work engages in slow states of being, slow processes, and slow media. We seek work that lingers in drifts and delays; work that dwells in states of stillness and attunement. Resisting efficiency and resolution, we seek immersion into the hum, the grain, the granular—work that cultivates attention through deceleration and degraded signals, work engaging slow, low, and no technology to open immersive states of flow.

Deadline June 10, 2026.

Picture the Power Vol. II: Counted

This exhibition invites photographers and visual storytellers across Louisiana to explore the realities of community care, advocacy, organizing, survival, joy, and collective responsibility. Through documentary and artistic interpretation, COUNTED highlights the ways people continue showing up for one another beyond the ballot box. The idea of seeing community in action is a force that is undeniably impactful.

Deadline is June 26, 2026.
