Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge: Economic Impact Study
The Arts Council supports Arts I.D.E.A.S (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, Sustainability), an initiative which cultivates, manages, and facilitates arts activities that expand awareness of, increase access to, and grow participation in and across diverse populations.
Arts Council has also taken leading local, state, and national roles in the COVID-19 crisis with the Creative Relief program which addresses community need in emergencies through an artistic lens and employs artists to address those needs.
Additionally, as one of the state’s nine Regional Arts Councils (RACs), Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge serves an eleven-parish area home to more than one million Louisiana residents1.
As the designated RAC for Region 2, Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge serves almost one in every four Louisiana residents, the largest footprint of any Louisiana RAC.
