Camps and Classes

Camps and classes are offered throughout the year at the Cary Saurage Community Arts Center located in Downtown Baton Rouge. These courses, taught by professional artists, provide unique arts and cultural experiences and are open to the entire community.   • Artsplosion!

    Artsplosion! camps offer unique arts and culture experiences for student in grade K-12. Activities engage, entertain, and help campers find their creative spark!

  • Creative Aging

    Creative Aging is the practice of engaging adults 55 years of age and greater in professionally run arts programs.

  • Dance For All

    The Dance for All Program provides an opportunity for children of all abilities to experience the joy of dance, while developing body awareness, coordination, fine motor skills, and balance in a traditional dance studio setting.

  • The Elizabeth Grimes Droessler Master Class Series

    The Elizabeth Grimes Droessler Master Class Series at the Cary Saurage Community Arts Center is a potpourri of Fine Arts Classes geared toward high school students in 9th-12th grades. This six-week course of study brings together a slate of instructors who are both practicing artists in their respective fields as well as educators. This Master Class Series is free to enroll however space is extremely limited. All programs ended November 18th.

  • Talent Advancement Program

    Talent Advancement Program (T.A.P) is new workforce development initiative designed to address the growing need for subject matter expertise within the greater Baton Rouge creative sector. TAP is offering two individual career tracks, audio engineering and gallery arts, both providing a combination of course work and hands-on training. Participants must be 18 years or older and will receive training from area professionals.
